frum

Religiously observant, usually meaning Orthodox in practice: keeping kosher, keeping Shabbat, the whole structure. It's a scale, not a switch. People describe themselves as "pretty frum" or "not so frum," and it also gets used with an edge, as a label someone else pins on you, meaning stricter than you'd like to be seen.
