siddur

Hebrew

the Jewish prayer book used for daily and Shabbat services

The siddur is the prayer book containing the set liturgy for daily, Shabbat, and holiday services. Plural is siddurim, and editions vary quite a bit by denomination and by which additions and translations a publisher decided to include. A well-used one tends to fall open naturally to the pages a person prays from most.
