Hebrewa ram's horn, blown at Rosh Hashanah
A ram's horn, hollowed and shaped to blow like a very old, very difficult trumpet. It's sounded on Rosh Hashanah as a central part of the service, and during Elul it gets blown every weekday morning leading up to the holiday. Getting a clean blast out of one takes real practice, which is why every shul has one guy who's clearly done this before and everyone else who's clearly hasn't.
